Australia’s favourite TV series returns to ABC TV on Sunday April 19 at 8.30pm
Following on from the original iconic feature films MYSTERY ROAD and GOLDSTONE from director Ivan Sen now comes the return of Australia’s Most Popular TV Series – MYSTERY ROAD SEASON 2.
It premieres on ABC TV and iview on Sunday April 19 at 8.30pm.
Following season one being voted Most Popular Drama at the 2019 TV Week Logie Awards, Mystery Road season two was filmed in Western Australia’s picturesque Dampier Peninsular and Broome. Internationally celebrated and multi award winning directors Warwick Thornton (Sweet Country, Samson & Delilah) and Wayne Blair (Top End Wedding, The Sapphires) helmed the six-episode series, with Thornton as director of photography.
The Bridge’s Sofia Helin stars alongside Aaron Pederson and Jada Alberts in the second series of Bunya Productions’ award-winning Mystery Road. The outstanding ensemble cast also includes Callan Mulvey, Tasma Walton, Rob Collins, Ngaire Pigram, Mark Mitchinson, Ursula Yovich, Rhimi Johnson, Gary Sweet, Fletcher Humphrys, Joel Jackson, John Brumpton, Eve Morey, Stan Yarramunua and Tasia Zalar (who was nominated for the TV Week Logie Graham Kennedy Award for her performance in the first season).
